Many issues can arise during the life of a pet from youth through the geriatric years. We are confident in our ability to diagnose and treat many medical conditions that arise in order to keep your pets happy and healthy for as long as possible. This includes but is not limited to, diseases of the thyroid, gastrointestinal tract, kidneys, liver and other body systems. As always, if we are not able to provide the specific treatment that your pet requires, we will gladly provide referral to a specialist or specialized facility that can.
Highly-trained doctors, specialized tools, and state-of-the-art equipment enable us to diagnose and treat pets’ complex health issues on site.
Exotics Medicine
A special niche that has developed in pet ownership and veterinary medicine is that of exotic animal medicine. Our veterinarians have seen and treated a wide variety of species including tortoises, turtles, chickens, small rodents, rabbits, and pigs.
Laboratory Services
Central Animal Hospital has a well-equipped laboratory on site, which enables our care team to perform most common lab tests as soon as they are ordered and have test results within about an hour. We also rely on ANTECH Laboratories when more advanced or intricate tests are needed.
Diagnostic Imaging
For more complex cases where the veterinarian recommends a more detailed look (especially in the abdomen) at individual organs, advanced imaging techniques may be necessary. Central Animal Hospital conveniently provides advanced imaging services in-house, using our own ultrasound equipment and digital radiography unit. We also have a board-certified Radiologist available to evaluate our patient’s films on-site, enabling us to more comprehensively diagnose our patient’s ailments without requiring them to visit a separate facility.
